CLASS REQUIREMENTS
AND PRE-CLASS PREPARATION:

This class is extremely demanding for students.

You must attend each class meeting, participate in the web research (lab) and meet outside class to coordinate the activities of your group. Daily writing assignments are also required.

This class relies on this website and email for communications between instructors and students. This extensive website will be updated daily during the class and should contain everything you need to know for the class.

You can communicate with the instructors by email:

gautier@icess.ucsb.edu
brachman@geog.ucsb.edu

Please make sure that you always look on the website before asking a question regarding what you have to do. If, after checking the website, you still have a question, feel free to send us an email.

POWERPOINT TUTORIALS:

This class will require that you make presentations with powerpoint.
If you are not familiar with powerpoint, you can prepare yourself by going to the following websites:

http://www.orst.edu/instruction/ed596/ppoint/pphome.htm
