Figure Caption.  These profiles were extracted from the interferometric SAR data.  As observed in the field and by interferometric SAR, the trench is about 150 meters deep and about one km wide.  The ice covering lake Grimsvotn apparently dropped about 50 cm during the one day between the pairs of SAR data used to make the interferometric data.
